Off I went, down I80 through Nebraska and 76 into Colorado, all the while during a High Wind Advisory! "High Profile Vehicles Prohibited"... It was amazing! Once the winds died down, I went through Denver during rush hour. I'm not sure which was worse!?
Stopped at the Air Force Academy and stretched my legs. Saw this little guy...
Once I saw "Pikes Peak", it was like old times. I lived in Colorado Springs in the early 70's and forgot until I returned, how BEAUTIFUL it was and how crisp, clear and fresh the air was!!! I hadn't breathed that clearly in years!! Stopped to shop at a Steinmart and had Chik Fil A for dinner!
Ended my day in Pueblo, Colorado. Temps today were in the 80's in Nebraska, and dropped to a beautiful 73 in Colorado!
